Saving the Monarchs

Woodside would like to give a round of applause to a group of butterfly enthusiasts doing special things around the CSRA. Susan Potter, Pat Dunlop, Molly French, Elaine McGowan, and Lou Anne Brossman started “The Butterfly Monarchy Club” in 2021 within Aiken, South Carolina. It is open to everyone in the CSRA area, not just Woodside residents. The mission is to encourage community involvement and education for the well-being and preservation of all butterflies with special emphasis on Monarchs. They were recently designated the first Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association in South Carolina, known as the CSRA Chapter. Their love also encouraged Woodside to take part and the Butterfly Park on Bristlecone Drive was recently opened. Go have a stroll or sit awhile and enjoy the wonderful new amenity here in our community. If you would like to know more about what the club does, visit their Facebook Page using this link. https://www.facebook.com/Butterfly-Monarchy-Club-111755938333025/
