ENTRANCE GATES

Incoming traffic at the Main & East gates is divided into two lanes; the right lane is for residents and guests with barcodes ONLY. The left lane is is for all other visitors, non-resident club members and authorized business traffic. We ask that you come to a complete stop; the guard will acknowledge that they have seen the decal on your vehicle, and then wave you through. Excessive speed presents a real danger to the guards and others—please use extreme caution when entering and exiting the gates.

Residents are responsible for authorizing passes for guests and vendors via the visitor management system, VOIP, or phone call to gates. All guests/vendors should be informed that they will be required to show ID at the gates in order to gain entry.

VENDOR (BUSINESS) TRAFFIC

To alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety at the Main Gate, all vendor (business) traffic enters Woodside Plantation through the East Gate, Anderson Pond Gate or Village Gate. A vendor is defined as anyone providing service to you, your residence, a construction site, or the clubs (i.e., interior decorator, house cleaning service, furniture/appliance deliveries and gardeners, etc). If vendors come to the Main Gate, they will be instructed to use one of the other gates for entrance. All large trucks must use Anderson Pond Gate.

If your home is under construction, the workers need to purchase a weekly or yearly pass (at the WPPOA Office) to work. Property owners are not permitted to call in passes for workers or deliveries while a house is under construction.

Property Owners

Property Owners/Residents must have the current year Woodside Plantation decal attached to their vehicle windshield(s).

Exceptions:

  1. For a property owner/resident driving a vehicle without a decal, a paper pass will be issued at the gatehouse upon showing a photo ID to verify your name and address.
  2. For a property owner/resident, who is a car dealer, the decal may be carried in the wallet.
To obtain a vehicle decal, you will need to show one of the following types of identification on each vehicle for which you would like a decal:
Current vehicle registration card OR bill of sale OR lease agreement
(NOT insurance cards, car titles or tax receipts)

If you sell or trade vehicles, you must return the current decal from that vehicle to receive your replacement decal. There is a $25.00 fee if the old decal is not returned to the WPPOA Office.

Resident children riding in vehicles without decals will be issued a paper pass upon showing a proper photo ID of the child.

BARCODES for all 5 automated gates may be applied to resident vehicles at the WPPOA office. A current property owner decal must be affixed to the vehicle at the time of barcode application and in order to keep the barcode active. The first two barcodes will be issued free. Anything after that will be a $10.00 fee (subject to future changes). If a resident decal expires, the barcode attached to this vehicle will be deactivated until the decal has been renewed.

ANNUAL GUEST DECAL

An annual guest decal can be sponsored by a resident at $65 a year for a close friend or family member whom they want to have frequent access without the need to enter weekly passes. The decal is not to be used to conduct business or to use Woodside Plantation roads as a shortcut to Chukker Creek School, the Aiken Mall or other parts of Aiken. This decal gives them 24-hour access. Annual Guest Decals are renewed each August.

AUTHORIZATIONS FOR VISITORS

Residents are allowed to authorize up to a one-week pass for their guests by using the visitor management system, Gate Access or the VIOP. When an unexpected guest with no decal or pass comes to visit, they may be asked to pull around and contact the resident they are here to visit. If the gate is not busy, the guard may make an attempt at contacting the resident to allow entry.

Instructions for using the visitor management system can be found in the sub-menu under the Safety & Security tab.

GROUPS OF VISITORS

It is preferred that residents use the visitor management system for all guest authorizations, especially when one has a group of visitors. The easiest way to enter 5 or more guest is through gateaccess.net. Please note it will take longer to process your guests if you choose not to use the visitor management system. In the event a guest arrives that is not listed in your account, the guard, if able, may make an attempt to verify a guest with a phone call to the resident.  If unsuccessful, the guest will be denied entry.

Miscellaneous

If the security staff is notified when a security alarm is activated, patrol will assist in calling the police. However, our staff cannot go onto private property.

Upon written request, security patrol will do periodic checks of your property when you are away for an extended period of time. Emergency phone numbers may be left with the guards, should you need to be contacted.
