COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Community Garden is located off Basswood Drive
- There are sections:
- Upper garden area has 24 12×12 plots and is pesticide free
- Lower garden area has 25 12×12 plots and pesticide use is permissible
- Water is provided throughout the growing season
- The garden supports local charities by providing garden-grown vegetables to Helping Hands and the Salvation Army
- A Children’s program is conducted annually to educate future gardeners and provide hands-on experience in planting, nurturing, and harvesting fresh vegetables.
- Clemson University Horticulture Extension Agents provide advice to assist gardeners
