As the holiday season kicks into full gear, two neighbors are making spirits bright with their impressive Christmas lights and displays that have become a local tradition. Every December, the homes of Craig and Debbie Schroeder, and Rick and Sue Todesco transform into dazzling spectacles of festive lights, creating a magical atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Both families are avid holiday decorators and have been adding to their collection of lights for over several decades. This year, Rick and Sue’s yard is a winter wonderland with twinkling fairy lights, reindeer, Santa and a collection of Disney characters bringing smiles to all who pass by. “It’s all about spreading cheer,” Sue says, “I love seeing everyone’s smiling faces when they drive by. It makes all the hard work worth it.”

Craig and Debbie, who live next-door, aren’t to be outdone. Their display features a spectacular array of multicolored lights that bring an extra sparkle to the season. “It’s a bit of a labor of love,” Craig admits. “But it brings so much joy to the community, especially after the tough year we’ve had.”

Together, the Schroeder’s and Todesco’s displays have become a neighborhood highlight, attracting crowds each evening. Showing appreciation for their efforts, several neighbors write personal notes to say how much they look forward to and enjoy the displays.

“It’s all about bringing people together,” Debbie says with a smile. “The lights are just the beginning. It’s the happiness, the laughter, and the memories we create that truly light up the season.”

Their displays not only brighten up the neighborhood but also embody the true spirit of the holidays—giving, delight, and a sense of togetherness. As the Schroeder and Todesco families continue to light up the season, their homes will remain a shining beacon of goodwill for years to come.

These spectacular displays can be found at 501 and 505 Steeplechase Drive.
