LAKE ACCESS & FISHING RULES

Burden Lake

Two off-road parking areas are located at the east end of the dam, providing convenient access to Holley Lake and Burden Lake north of the golf course cart bridge. Please keep vehicles on the pavement. The Common Area Property is located along the Holley Dam shorelines. There is no WPPOA Common Area Property at the north end of the lake near the Jones Course golf holes. The land between the shoreline and golf cart path at the north end of the lake, as well as the land around the two small ponds in that area, is owned by Woodside Country Club. Fishing is not permitted on Country Club property.

Holley Lake

There are two strips of off-road parking at the East end of the dam providing easy access to Holley Lake and Burden Lake North of the golf course cart bridge. Please keep vehicles on the pavement. The Common Area Property is along the Holley Dam shorelines. There is no WPPOA Common Area Property at the North end of the Lake by the Jones Course golf holes. The land along the North end of the lake between the shoreline and the golf cart path is owned by the Woodside Country Club and fishing is not permitted on their property. The land around the two small ponds near the North end of Holley Lake is owned by the Woodside Country Club and the no fishing policy applies to both ponds.

Magnolia Lake

Access to Magnolia Lake is available from the cul-de-sac at the end of Magnolia Lake Road. There is no off-road parking. Vehicles are prohibited from using the 20-ft. lane to the top of the dam due to poor drainage and soft ground conditions. The Common Area Property designated for fishing, boating, or launching kayaks is along the dam shoreline.

Oakman Lake

Oakman Lake access is located off Woodside Plantation Drive. A key to open the chain gate is available at the Main Gate. Limited off-road parking is available under the trees just past the gate. Follow the paved path to the top of the dam, where the Common Area Property is located. One of the community’s walking trails also begins at the top of the dam.

Royal Lake

Access to Royal Lake is available from Basswood Drive, next to the Community Garden. A key can be signed out at the Main Gate.

Additional Notes

Spalding Lake and Cunning Lake are not owned by the POA and have no public access.

Only manually propelled or electric battery-powered boats—such as canoes, rowboats, kayaks, sailboats, and paddleboats—of conventional size and appearance may be used on Woodside lakes and streams.

Internal combustion engines are not permitted on any watercraft within Woodside Plantation.
